Agriturismo Al vecchio podere is a family-run business in the heart of Lunigiana, in Mochignano di Sotto to be precise, a small hamlet within the municipality of Bagnone. Although it started as a business in 2014, the farm has been active since 1930. It consists of two buildings overlooking a large farmyard and a large garden: the restaurant and the rooms. The restaurant building is much older than the building with the rooms, dating back to the end of the 19 th century, early 20 th century (the detail of the vaulted brick ceiling is extremely interesting); the building with the rooms, furnished in a classic and simple style, dates back to 1970 and it is a former stable with hayloft. The farm also includes about twenty hectares of vineyards, olive groves, meadows, pastures and vegetable gardens. There are two types of livestock farms: one for bovines and one for sheep (the Zerasca breed in particular). As of this year, we are also practicing beekeeping… and to cope with the Covid emergency, we set up a gazebo in our garden to host lunches and dinners in a safe and peaceful environment. We also have a take-away service.
